Curry Chicken

Jerk Chicken

Jerk is the process of spicing and grilling meats, poultry, and even vegetables. Although, the most popular are jerk pork and jerk chicken. The resulting food yields a spicy-sweet flavor and a tender texture.  The process consists of the jerking or poking of the meat with a sharp object, producing holes which are then filled with the spice mixture. the chicken is then marinated for 72 hours to infuse the flavor. A Jamaican patty is a pastry that contains various fillings and spices baked inside a flaky shell.It is made like a turnover but is more savory, it is commonly found in Jamaica, and is also eaten in other areas of the Caribbean. The pastry is thick and crisp, making it essentially a turnover. It is traditionally filled with seasoned ground beef, but Savannah’s has chicken patties as well.
